These hounds are all bawl mouth track and tree and mead to cold nosed. Loud on track real loud when locked on a tree. They dig there claws in and stretch up high. We have produced some 60 pups used on Bear, Cat, Coyote, Deer, and Coon. They seem to adapt to their surroundings no matter the conditions. I have sent many to Canada where cold has not hindered there performance. They seem to be naturals.
Hos has is my favorite. He is a cross between Smoke and Sky. He started early and just keeps getting better. I have used him a number of times to breed to standard Blue hounds and has produced some awesome pups. I once kept a pup for almost a year and a man from Georgia called me. As he talked about not having a hound and how his young boy was ready to have his own. I just knew what I had to do. We had a hunt we had planned to attend in NC and I made arrangements to give that boy his first Big Blue. The boy fell in love with the hound and so did the dad. He called me at least 6 times telling story after story about how easy that young pup trained. This has always been a predominant that thru ease of training is exceptional.
